The People Have Spoken
It’s pretty simple. These burgers are it. I had no idea how he does it but they are simply irresistible. NFA Burgers was located in Galla Pizza in Chamblee but he is no longer at this location. Be sure to watch the Instagram account for updates.
The burger can be made with as many patties as you’d like. From one to ten, it’s your prerogative. I usually get two patties because I love the tator tots too and I’d fall asleep at my desk if I had too much food. Everything about his burgers is perfect. The cheesyness, the crispyness of the patties with that ring of crunch around the edges & the pickles.
There’s a special sauce that usually comes on the burgers but you can take it off if you want. I wouldn’t recommend that though because it adds this cherry on top effect to the burger. It’s a great burger. Believe me. I’m Texan so I’d know lol
As simplistic as it is, you won’t have to add ketchup. Yep. That’s right. And I’m not even of a fan of regular mustard like that on a burger, but the seasoning, acidity of the pickles and the ooey gooey cheese just makes everything work. Even the potato roll buns make a difference. It’s the whole package that compliments each other. I’m not kidding when I say this is one of the top ten burgers in the A.
So for those looking for a great burger with out any additional frills because the burger itself is lackluster, you’ll have to stop on by Thur-Saturday to get your fix. NFA is just renting out the flat grill sort of speak for just lunch time at Galla’s.
So I was craving a cheeseburger and thanks to Yelp NFA popped up. Upon seeing what day it was I had to wait a couple of days though. I finally made to cheeseburger day! I pulled in Galla’s (you can check my review on there) and ordered up.
I went with the Cheeseburger with wings combo. And I made the right choice. The burger was the perfect ooey-gooey, cheesy, greasy burger. None of the excessive 18 items on top of the burger just some pickles which were perfect acidic hit between the soft buns and the peppery burger. I didn’t even have to add ketchup. The only thing I wish was that the burger had been larger.
Next was the tots. They were out of fries when I was there. No biggie. I loved the seasoning on the tots. The seasoning was good enough to eat all the tots by themselves. But the dipping sauce. The dipping sauce was literal awesome sauce. It is in the vein of Zax’s and Cane’s sauces. But definitely a little more spicy it gave me a couple of dry heat coughs.
So Billy brought out the order and we chatted for a few. He also check up on us a couple of times through out the meal. It was really nice to see someone who cares that much about the product they are putting out there. It shows and I’m looking forward to the next time they’re open.
